Fernandez returns to Cypress to begin her coaching career after earning a state championship with the Chargers in 2006. She racked up awards while at Cypress including a First Team All-State selection and an NFCA All-American selection. Fernandez moved on to Cal State Fullerton after two years at Cypress as the Titans’ top base stealer. She graduated with a B.A. in psychology and is currently studying to be a drug and alcohol counselor. She will work with the Chargers’ catchers, the outfield, and hitting.
