Cypress Highlights: Hay was the Chargers’ glove at third in their 2006 championship run starting in 55 games for Cypress. Hay hit .318 including 11 doubles for 41 RBI and 30 runs scored. Against Taft College, Hay went four for five for two RBI. Hay’s performance against conference opponents earned her a second team all-Orange Empire Conference selection.
High School Highlights: A four year varsity starter at Huntington Beach, Hay earned the spot of Captain her senior year and the school’s most inspirational athlete. Hay’s senior campaign was littered with all-star selections including the Orange County Coaches’ High School All-Star Squad, the Orange County Soroptomist All-Star team and the Orange County versus Riverside County All-Star team. Her sophomore efforts garnered second team all-Sunset League honors. During her Junior and Senior years, she earned a spot on the first team all-Sunset League list and was Huntington Beach’s Most Valuable Player.
Personal: Parents are Dan and Carrie Hay, siblings are Robert, Brandon, and Garrett.
Notes: Favorite quote is, “play every game like it’s your last”.
