Cypress Highlights: Hernandez played in 56 games for Cypress starting 55. She hit .336 at the plate including nine doubles for 27 RBI and struck out just six times. Hernandez led Cypress in sacrifice hits with 13 and stole ten bases. Against West Valley, Hernandez went two for three with two RBI.
High School Highlights: A standout for Corona, Hernandez was named to the 2003 Mountain View all-League team. Hernandez led Corona to a Mountain View League Championship in 2005 and the CIF finals in 2004. During her senior year, she earned all tournament honors at the Stu-Penter tournament and was selected to play in the Riverside versus Orange County All-Star game.
Personal: Born October 6th, 1987. Parents are Yolanda and Regino Hernandez, sister is Briana. Joined Cypress because, “it’s a good program and looked like a lot of fun.”
