Cypress Highlights: Mahr improved on an already successful freshman year leading the state champion Chargers in hitting percentage at .447 which was good enough for fourth on the Charger single season batting average records. Mahr’s 45 RBI is tenth best in a single season for Cypress. Mahr’s 18 career doubles landed her as sixth on the career record list for Cypress. Against Chabot college, Mahr went five for five with six RBI including a double and a triple. Her season accomplishments were honored by a spot on the second team all-Orange Empire Conference and was honored with her second straight placement in the Cypress Hall of Fame.
A leading hitter for the Chargers batting .364 in all 48 games last season. Mahr had a .418 on base percentage and was tied for second on the team in runs with 35 on the year and 20 RBIs. Mahr stepped up her hitting for conference to lead the Chargers batting .453 against conference opponents including 4 doubles and a team high 19 runs earning her a spot on the first team all-conference list and second team all-state.
High School Highlights: A four-year varsity starter at Fullerton High School earning a second team all-Freeway League selection in her senior season. She was named her team’s the Most Inspirational and the team’s Most ValuablePlayer and earned a spot on the South All-Star team and was chosen MVP of the North-South game. Also a four year starter on the soccer team.
Personal: Parents are Michael and Karen Mahr. Siblings are Jonathan and Kimberly.
