Cypress Highlights: The only returning pitcher from the 2008 squad… made 24 appearances and seven starts… finished the season with a perfect 5-0 season with a 0.94 ERA… struck out 40 batters… pitched a complete game shutout against Grossmont with four strikeouts.
High School Highlights: A one-year letter winner for the Scorpions… won a CIF championship as a junior at Camarillo… was the junior varsity MVP her freshman and sophomore seasons… earned a community service award.
Personal: Born on January 19th, 1989… parents are Richard and Suzanne Ruiz… siblings are Nicole, Johnny, and Jake… majoring in nursing… came to Cypress for the, “great softball program and the nice campus.”
