Cypress Highlights: Woody appeared in 57 of 58 games for Cypress in 2006 hitting .326 including four homeruns and twelve doubles for 36 RBI. After a few early games, Woody established herself as a starter playing in the infield and as the catcher. Against Chabot College, Woody hit four for four with three RBI and four runs scored including a homerun and a double. Her freshman efforts earned her second team all-Orange Empire Conference honors.
High School Highlights: Woody earned Most Valuable Player honors at Santa Fe High School and Golden Glove. Woody also earned first team all-league for third base, and utility player twice. She was also named the team’s most inspirational player.
Personal: Parents are Michael Ray and Haydee Ester Woody. Sibling is Jerika Rose. Favorite quote is, “State Champs... babe bee”.
