Cypress Places Ninth in Conference Championships

Mission Viejo, Calif. - Cypress headed to Saddleback College over the weekend to compete as a team for the last time this season in the Orange Empire Conference Championships. The Charger women finished ninth in conference with 178 points. Sophomore Cristina Juarez finished fifth in the 1650 Yard Freestyle, sixth in the 200 Yard Freestyle, and seventh in the 500 Yard Freestyle. Her 19:04.51 time in the 1650 Yard Freestyle was good enough for 13th in the state and qualified her for the State Championships. Juarez will compete in three events at the State Championships beginning Friday at Ohlony college.
