Chargers Start 2009 Season at OEC Relays

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Cypress began their 2009 season Friday at the Orange Empire Conference Relays at Golden West. The Chargers put up solid performances to set the pace for the upcoming season. Sophomore Kelsey Mattees put up a team best 1:00:97 split in the 400 Yard Freestyle. The team finished with a 4:24.52 time which was eighth at the meet. Freshman Kelsey Frierson finished her split in the 200 yard freestyle with a 27.97 split. Cypress finished seventh in that relay.
The Chargers have a week off before heading to Palomar for the Swim Pentathlon Friday.
