During her sophomore season at Orange Coast College, she was undefeated in singles and led her team to win the California Community College dual team. Esquivel also won the prestigious Ojai Championship in 2005 and State Championships in singles and doubles with partner Jessica Rice that same year. She finished at Concordia University, Irvine on scholarship and became ranked #17 nationally for women's singles in NAIA. Currently finishing her degree in Exercise Sport Science with emphasis on teaching and coaching, Esquivel hopes to bring her experience and tennis knowledge to bolster the Cypress College Tennis program.
