Cypress Goes 2-1 at the Santa Monica Tournament

Cypress, Calif. – Cypress College (4-2) won its first two matches of the Santa Monica Tournament with a 3-0 (25-7, 25-5, 25-10) win over Imperial Valley in the first contest, and a 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-18) victory over Yuba in the second matchup. Moorpark defeated the Chargers 3-1 (25-7, 25-5, 25-10, 25-10) in the final match of the tournament.
Ashley Flores and Jen Porter led the Chargers with 12 each in the win over Imperial Valley. Stephanie Casillas was the kill leader for Cypress in the win over Yuba with 14, followed by Kelsey Mersey with 9 kills. Holly Webster finished with 14 digs in that match.
