Santa Ana, Calif. – Cypress traveled to Santa Ana Wednesday night to take on the Dons. The Chargers repeated their sweep of Santa Ana from earlier this season winning 25-17, 25-15, and 25-16. Freshman middle blocker Anna Tapu led Cypress with five blocks, two aces, and eight kills.
The Chargers cruised to three straight wins thanks in part to a team best 14 kills by sophomore outside hitter Katie Saavedra. Freshman setter Giajaida Vargas picked up 31 assists.
Cypress (17-4, 10-2) has two matches remaining. They take on Golden West next at home. Cypress swept the Rustlers 3-0 earlier this season. They face off again Friday at Cypress.
