Cypress Highlights: Played in 90 games for the Chargers in 2008 collecting 180 kills, 351 digs, and 16 blocks… a Second Team all-Orange Empire Conference selection… had a season high 14 kills in just three games against Riverside.
High School Highlights: A four year varsity standout for the Matadores… earned First Team all-Suburban League and All-Area honors all four years… was named the Rookie of the Year and was given the 110% award as a freshman… earned the team’s Most Valuable Player award three seasons in a row… was named the school’s Athlete of the Week three times… named to the all-CIF team as a sophomore, junior, and senior… also participated in soccer and softball.
Personal: Born on July 21, 1990… parents are Pat and Henry Saavedra… siblings are Cherie and Chase… majoring in psychology… chose to play at Cypress for the “great group of girls”… heroes are her family.
