Chargers Blow Out the Dons for First Conference Win

Cypress, Calif. – Cypress hosted their first home conference match of the season taking on the Dons of Santa Ana. The Chargers did not extend the Dons a warm welcome blowing out the score 20-1. Freshman attacker Kristle Winter was one of three Chargers with four goals on the day. She also added three steals and two assists.
The Chargers came out quick jumping out to a 14-0 halftime lead. Santa Ana scored their one and only goal in the third quarter. Freshman 2 meter player Nora Jean TerBorch also scored four goals adding three assists and two steals as well. Freshman attacker Danielle Duran was the third Charger to score four goals adding two steals and an assist. Freshman goalie Brooke Sovick finished the day with 14 saves.
Cypress (4-6, 1-2) has two days off before heading to San Diego Mesa for a two day tournament.
