Education at Your Fingertips!
Cypress College is excited to offer you the opportunity to learn when learning is best for you. Besides our on-campus day, night and weekend courses, we also offer courses that you can take from home, at work and even at play. We call these off-campus courses distance education, but in reality they bring education to you. Our online courses can be taken anywhere you have access to a computer and the Internet. Now, at Cypress College, learning can be just a mouse click away. It's a new century and we are proud to be able to offer you new, exciting and rewarding distance education courses - at your fingertips!

What is Distance Education?
Distance Education offers you the flexibility of taking Cypress College courses without coming to campus on a regular basis. These courses provide the same quality of instruction and cover the same material as our traditional on-campus offerings. The only difference is that distance education students will be learning primarily off campus and will be taught primarily through the use of technology (such as: e-mail, Internet, and CD's).

For some of our distance education courses students attend on-campus class sessions only three to five times a semester. Students do the remaining course work independently through computer and Internet interactions. For other courses, students are never required to attend class on campus. In these cases, all the course work is done independently through the computer and the Internet. Even though these students are working independently and off campus, their instructors, fellow students, and campus services are only a click away.

**Important Information about Online Classes!**
Online classes need your e-mail address BEFORE you can start the class. To function in online classes, you must be able to receive e-mails from your instructor. For successful electronic communication with Cypress College, be sure “@cypresscollege.edu” is a secure site (or on your “white list”, trusted listed”, etc.) in your email program.
