Book Help!

Textbooks are expensive — we know! Need help? Here are a few resources both on and off campus. Please share the knowledge wealth if you know of others.

The Cypress College Foundation provides interest-free book loans to students with at least three units. Information is in the Foundation Office, on the 3rd Floor of the Cypress College Complex. Students must fill out a book loan application, have a minimum 2.0 GPA, and have completed at least 3 units.

The Library has a lot of reserved textbooks on copy for use.
Library Hours for Fall Semester (August 24 – December 12):
Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–9 p.m.
Friday, 8 a.m.–1 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday, Holidays — Closed

Our very own Cypress College Facebook page has a lot of students posting their textbooks from prior semesters. Check out the visitor post section on the lower left-hand corner of the page.

Amazon is solid for low-price finds. Speak with your professors about using a slightly older edition of the class text. If okay, you’ll save. Make sure the seller has excellent reviews, especially for delivery estimates. While you’re waiting for your book orders to arrive you can access the library’s reserved copies. Additional sites include: StudentRate, Chegg, Abe Books, Alibris, Textbooks.com, Cheapest Textbooks, Valore Textbooks and ECampus.
