Tech Prep is an opportunity to earn college credit and obtain essential career guidance by combining your secondary and postsecondary education in selected Career Technical Education (CTE) programs.
As a Tech Prep student you will:
- Take pre-approved or articulated classes at your high school or Regional Occupational Program (ROP) or community college. These classes meet high school graduation requirements and begin to prepare you for studies in your chosen career.
- Meet with your high school, ROP and or community college counselor to understand your classes and articulation requirements.
- Enroll in the community college of your choice where you will continue your career pathway courses and based on the articulation agreement will receive college credit or advanced placement in a career pathway.
Tech Prep is a great opportunity for career exploration, career pathway selection, minimizes course duplication, and eases your transition from high school to college.
