DESCRIPTION:Cypress College Art Gallery\nDIS…MISS\nSeptember 14 – November 9\, 2017\nReception: 6-8pm\, September 14\, 2017\nCurated by Anne Bray\, Director of Freewaves\, Los Angeles\, CA \nDIS…MISS is Cypress College Art Gallery’s first group exhibition that centers on\ntoday’s evolving perceptions of gender and feminism. The exhibition includes\nnuanced imagery and videos\, which confront persistent inequalities and\nstereotypes in our contemporary culture. \nIn addition to the exhibition\, the Cypress College Gallery will host activities every\nWednesday\, 2-3pm\, throughout the run of the exhibition. These will include\nworkshops\, performances\, panel discussions\, readings\, and artist lectures. \nThe gallery is open Monday-Thursday\, 10am-2pm. In addition to individual\nstudent visitors\, classes are welcome to view the exhibition and participate in\nself-guided activities\, workshops\, and lectures.
