SUMMARY:Stop the Bleed (STB) Trainings
DESCRIPTION:Stop the Bleed (STB) Trainings will be provided monthly during the fall semester. The Student Health & Wellness Center holds an Educational License to provide the trainings with assistance from our colleagues in Athletic Training and Campus Safety. Trainings include a presentation of this STB material\, followed by a hands-on practice. This is a free training open to all students/faculty/staff. Class size is limited so please email Marla McBride at mmcbride@cypresscollege.edu if you are interested in attending. \nAll trainings will take place in CCCPLX-419 on: \n\nWednesday\, 8/21/24\, 10 a.m.\nThursday\, 9/5/24\, 2 p.m.\nFriday\, 10/4/24\, 9 a.m.\nMonday\, 11/4/24\, 3 p.m.\n\n*Note: There will be visual images of blood that may be disturbing to some people.

DESCRIPTION:The Student Health & Wellness Center will be working with OC Behavioral Health Services – Alcohol & Drug Education & Prevention Team (ADEPT) to provide Naloxone/Opioid Overdose Training every month during the fall semester. These are free and open to all students/staff/faculty with Naloxone kits provided to all who attend. The goal of CA Senate Bill 367\, Campus Opioid Safety Act is to educate campus communities to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses that can save a life. \nEvery training will take place in CCCPLX–414 on the following days: \n\nWednesday\, 9/11/24\, 3 p.m.\nTuesday\, 10/15/24\, 2 p.m.\nThursday\, 11/21/24\, 10 a.m.
