The number one cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. \nHere’s why you should join our training: \n\nGain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively\nLearn three techniques\, including using a tourniquet\, that will empower you to assist in an emergency and potentially save a life\n\nDates and Times: \n\nTuesday\, January 28\, 1–2 p.m.\nMonday\, February 10\, 10–11 a.m.\nWednesday\, March 5\, 9–10 a.m.\nFriday\, April 11\, 10–11 a.m.\n\nAll trainings will be held in CCCPLX-419. \nSeating is limited! DESCRIPTION:Cypress College is proud to be partnering with Active Minds\, the nation’s leading nonprofit working to change the culture around mental health\, to bring Send Silence Packing to Cypress College. Send Silence Packing is an exhibit that inspires action around suicide by sending the message that you are not alone\, help is available\, and we each play a critical role in changing the culture around mental health. \nWe invite you to explore the backpack display on Wednesday\, April 23\, 2025\, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.\, in Gateway Plaza and to visit Behind the Backpacks\, an interactive virtual experience that shares powerful audio stories and engaging\, action-oriented ideas for how to change the culture around mental health in your community. \nPlease note the display explores themes of mental health and suicide and includes personal stories of people who have been lost to suicide.
