SUMMARY:GLADE Scholarship Deadline
DESCRIPTION:Purpose of the GLADE Scholarship\nThe purpose of the Gay and Lesbian Association of District Employees (GLADE) scholarship is to encourage and support NOCCCD students whose activities have contributed to the advancement of LGBTQ+ causes while fostering a positive image of the LGBTQ+ community. We seek to recognize students who have assumed active leadership and/or supportive roles in the LGBT community in organizations such as LGBT student clubs\, HIV/AIDS prevention and education programs\, community organizing activities\, LGBT community centers\, or other relevant non-profit organizations. We seek to recognize academic promise and provide support for students pursuing goals in postsecondary education. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply regardless of sex\, gender\, sexual orientation\, race\, ethnicity\, ability status\, age\, religious affiliation\, etc. \nTo Be Eligible\nApplicants must be either a new or continuing student at any of the NOCCCD campuses: Cypress College\, Fullerton College\, and North Orange Continuing Education\, and intend to be enrolled at any college\, university\, or school of continuing education for fall 2019. (Proof of enrollment in the fall 2019 semester is required to distribute our scholarship.) \nTo Apply\nFill out the GLADE Scholarship Application and attach the requested documents.
