DESCRIPTION:Have you ever doubted yourself? Do you avoid challenges because it’s uncomfortable to try something you are not great at? This workshop will discuss how to overcome those obstacles! \nJoin us as we learn about our speaker and how to overcome obstacles in higher education! \nEdward Gonzales has over a decade of professional experience working with NASA in multiple roles. He is currently a business administrator for Minority University Research Education Programs (MUREP) & Outreach. Mr. Gonzales has presented to various K-12 and universities across the country. He has participated in panels at various professional conferences such as: Society of Women Engineers (SWE)\, Great Minds in STEM\, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)\, and more! \nHis countless contributions to the advancement and success of NASA’s outreach efforts and motivational speaking engagements have been highly recognized by his awards and honors in: \n\nNASA Group Achievement for Higher Education for MUREP\nNASA Individual Achievement for Directors Award\nNASA Solar System Team Award\nNASA Group Achievement Award for Voyager Missions\n\nJoin us to meet our speaker as he discusses the phenomenon of the ‘Impostor Syndrome’ and how that impacts students in education and how to overcome it and achieve success. \nAll are welcome to attend!
