In addition\, the men and women who served in Vietnam and survived unspeakable horrors\, coming home offered its own kind of trauma. This year will add a small friendly competition for those interested in knowing what their Marine Corps Physical Fitness Test score could be (3 mile run\, pull-ups\, and sit-up). \nThis year\, the Veterans Club also wants to give back to the campus for all their support they have received since the Veterans Resource Center opened. The club board would like to offer the first 25 donors a free race entrance to those who can donate a grocery bag full of nonperishable food to the Cypress College Food Pantry. DESCRIPTION:The Veterans Resource Center is excited to announce that we will celebrate the 100th Veterans Day Anniversary Thursday\, November 8\, at 11 a.m. around the flagpole (next to the Business building). This year we will honor Mr. Blas Villalobos\, who is an Iraq War veteran and has spent most of his time after an honorable discharge informing policy makers about the challenges veterans encounter when they return home from war. In addition\, we have a special musical arrangement by Caesar Martinez and will be played by a quartet composed of Gary Gopar\, David Pittell\, Humberto Ruiz\, Jr.\, and Kerry Loeschen. Come out and honor those who have served\, listen to great music\, and afterwards join us to help us close the Different 1% Art Exhibit with veteran artist Ehren Tool (cypresscollege.edu/event/a-different-1/2018-11-13/).
