DESCRIPTION:The Veterans Resource Center invites you to join us on Thursday\, September 10 at 12 p.m. as we come together to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11\, 2001. \nBeginning early that morning\, student\, staff\, and faculty volunteers will plant American flags in remembrance of the lives lost on September 11\, 2001. The flags will remain on display throughout the weekend\, providing our campus community with an opportunity to visit the memorial\, pause\, reflect\, and remember. \nAt noon\, we invite the campus community to gather at the Veterans Resource Center for our commemoration\, which will include: \n\nMoment of Silence in remembrance of those we lost\nReflection and Remembrance of September 11\, 2001\nSpecial Recognition\nLight Appetizer following the ceremony\n\nThursday\, September 10\, 2026\nFlag Planting: Early Morning (6 – 8 a.m.)\nCommemoration: 12 p.m.\nVeterans Resource Center \nSeptember 11 is a day that forever changed our nation and shaped an entire generation of military service. We invite students\, faculty\, classified\, administrators\, and members of our campus community to join us as we remember the lives lost\, honor those who answered the call to serve\, and recognize a special member of our campus whose dedication to military-affiliated students has endured for 25 years. \nWhether you are able to attend the noon commemoration or simply visit the flag display throughout the weekend\, we hope you will take a moment to reflect and remember.
