Pride Center Students who have been learning the art of drag will be making their performance debut alongside professional drag queens in a one-night-only event full of charisma\, glitter\, and big drag energy. \n\nHow did this start?\n\n\nPride Center students took an interest in Drag as a performing art after our workshop series on Queer Icons and began asking staff how to begin performing.\n\n\nPride Staff member Terra Acevedo has been a Producer\, Performer\, and Instructor of Variety Cabaret & Drag shows in Los Angeles for 5 years. Terra took modules from their workshop courses and began teaching Pride Center students in weekly Drag Workshops\, cultivating each individual student’s Drag Identity & act.\n\n\nPride Staff member Jonathan Cossio is a Drag Queen whose interest in makeup helped secure sponsorship from Kim Chi Beauty and secured professional Drag Queens as our SPOTLIGHT Drag Show guest performers and panel of judges.\n\n\nWhy attend?\n\n\nCheer on Pride Center students making their Drag debut!\n\n\nIncrease your understanding of drag culture and its importance to queer community and history.\n\n\nBuild relationships with the campus Pride Center staff and students.\n\n\nMeet & greet Professional Drag Performers in the Long Beach and Los Angeles communities.\n\n\nYour attendance demonstrates support to the LGBTQIA+ Student Performers and gives you the opportunity to encourage them as they take this big and vulnerable step!

DESCRIPTION:Community Yoga\nPresented by the Integrative Wellness Club\, the community yoga classes are open to all students\, faculty\, and staff. Classes will include gentle\, therapeutic yoga postures\, with breathing and meditation practices. \nClasses take place in Gym 2\, Room 123\, at 12:15 – 1 p.m. on Wednesdays: 03/06; 03/20; 04/10; 04/24; 05/08. \nIntegrative Wellness Club\nThe Integrative Wellness Club is a student-led interdisciplinary club devoted to integrative health. Health as a state of wholeness provides a framework where physical\, psychological\, social\, and spiritual factors are considered in equal part in the facilitation of wellbeing. In considering health from a whole person perspective\, we consider sleep\, movement\, nutrition\, resiliency\, mind- body practices\, connection to nature and the environment\, and mental health in the pursuit of human flourishing.
