DESCRIPTION:The Cypress College Psychiatric Technology Club is organized to promote the field of Psychiatric Technology and raise awareness on the impact it has in the healthcare field through community service\, activities and learning experiences form all members including those who have graduated from the program. To raise awareness the club attends campus wide club activities and events. As well as\, to reach out to those who are interested in the field and encourage them to join both the program and the club to learn and experience what it is to be a Psych Tech. Furthermore\, aside from interacting with people outside of the club we will also be focusing on the members who are part of both the club and the program. Club members who are in the first and second semesters of the program can get assistance from those who are in the third semester and students who have graduation the program as a club member. DESCRIPTION:Cypress Campus Christians is a student group composed of believers in Christ from various backgrounds and we stand absolutely for the faith common to all Christians. We love the Lord Jesus Christ\, endeavor to give Him “the first place in all things” (Colossians 1:18) and have the utmost respect for His word. We warmly welcome all students who have a desire to learn and get to know what is the meaning of and the way to live the Christian life\, according to God’s desire and the revelation in His word. We seek to maintain the oneness of the Spirit by keeping our focus on Christ. In addition to pursuing fellowship we also desire to strengthen and spread the Lord’s testimony on Cypress College. The types of events and activities done by the club include bible studies\, gospel tabling\, refreshment times on campus\, dinner and fellowship times\, student lunches\, bible reading challenges\, community connect\, barbecues\, outings\, hiking\, weekend retreats\, and intercollegiate gatherings. DESCRIPTION:The Japanese Culture Club (JCC) is an organization dedicated to the exploration and experience of Japanese culture\, as well as an appreciation of the language. The objectives of JCC are to promote intercultural tolerance by striving towards a deeper understanding and appreciation of Japanese culture; to promote the study of the Japanese language\, particularly through Cypress College’s Japanese Program; to provide an environment where Japanese learners may meet and develop connections through common interests. The types of events and activities done by the JCC include excursions to sites of Japanese cultural significance (such as Little Tokyo or Japanese Buddhist temples)\, events hosted by Japanese-American organizations/communities (such as holiday observances)\, and general club bonding excursions (Japanese restaurants\, movie nights\, karaoke\, etc.) The JCC meets every Monday from 5:15–6:15 p.m. in HUM-108. DESCRIPTION:Interculture Club is a club which serves as an opportunity for students of Cypress College to meet people from a variety of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. It is a club that celebrates diversity and promotes acceptance and tolerance for one another. Interculture Club seeks to promote awareness of different cultures. The objective of the Interculture Club is to create bridges between various people who come from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds and to expand the knowledge that peers have regarding one another’s cultural backgrounds. At every meeting students have the opportunity to learn about new cultures and try new customs\, dances\, and foods. Some of the events and activities the Interculture Club has planned include: international potluck\, international costumes\, a post-it challenge to practice kindness and tolerance\, and cultural discussions. As a service organization\, we serve our communities through service events all while bonding through socials and leadership conferences. As an organization we strive to serve our community as an international organization. As a club at Cypress College\, we still strive to serve our community\, but strive to provide a community for students to bond and develop friendships all while instilling/developing leadership skills through workshops or conferences. The Circle K International club meets every Tuesday from 4–5:15 p.m. in HUM-101. DESCRIPTION:ACE Interface – November 28\, 2018\nBuilding Self Healing Communities \nThe Understanding ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences): Building Self-Healing Communities presentation provides information about the ACE study\, along with neurobiology that explains why ACEs impact people’s lives\, and what we can all do to dramatically improve health and resilience for this and future generations. \nThe ACE Study findings represent a paradigm shift in human understanding of the origins of physical\, social\, mental\, and societal health and well-being. We now know that leading causes of disease and disability\, learning and productivity problems\, and early death have their roots in the cumulative neurodevelopmental impacts of ACEs and toxic stress. \nNancy Thomas – November 29\, 2018\nAuthor\, Educator\, World Renowned Speaker \nAs a Professional Therapeutic Parent\, Nancy Thomas’ forty years of successful work with traumatized children helped her to develop her program\, When Love is Not Enough\, which is now used in homes\, treatment facilities and schools around the world. Her work is acclaimed for helping many types of emotional disorders\, including Reactive Attachment Disorder\, Early Childhood Trauma\, Asperger’s\, Oppositional Defiant Disorder\, ADHD\, PTSD and Bipolar Disorder. \nThis event takes place at the Business Expo Center at 1960 S Anaheim Way\, Anaheim\, CA 92805.

DESCRIPTION:The Cypress College Psychiatric Technology Club is organized to promote the field of Psychiatric Technology and raise awareness on the impact it has in the healthcare field through community service\, activities and learning experiences form all members including those who have graduated from the program. To raise awareness the club attends campus wide club activities and events. As well as\, to reach out to those who are interested in the field and encourage them to join both the program and the club to learn and experience what it is to be a Psych Tech. Furthermore\, aside from interacting with people outside of the club we will also be focusing on the members who are part of both the club and the program. Club members who are in the first and second semesters of the program can get assistance from those who are in the third semester and students who have graduation the program as a club member. The Psychiatric Technology Club meets every Wednesday from 12:30–1 p.m. in TE3– 315. SUMMARY:Aviation and Travel Club Meetings
DESCRIPTION:The Aviation and Travel Club helps connect the students who share the same interesting aviation and other related studies together. This helps students explore and learn about their interests in an informal setting allowing students to have a stress free environment. The types of events and activities done by the club include an Open House to test and play with the flight simulators\, the Plane of Fame airshow at Chino Airport\, and a BBQ Beach Party. The Aviation and Travel Club meets every Wednesday from 1:30–2:30 p.m. in TE1\, 2nd floor.
