SUMMARY:Building Trauma Informed Communities of Learning
DESCRIPTION:ACE Interface – November 28\, 2018\nBuilding Self Healing Communities \nThe Understanding ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences): Building Self-Healing Communities presentation provides information about the ACE study\, along with neurobiology that explains why ACEs impact people’s lives\, and what we can all do to dramatically improve health and resilience for this and future generations. \nThe ACE Study findings represent a paradigm shift in human understanding of the origins of physical\, social\, mental\, and societal health and well-being. We now know that leading causes of disease and disability\, learning and productivity problems\, and early death have their roots in the cumulative neurodevelopmental impacts of ACEs and toxic stress. \nNancy Thomas – November 29\, 2018\nAuthor\, Educator\, World Renowned Speaker \nAs a Professional Therapeutic Parent\, Nancy Thomas’ forty years of successful work with traumatized children helped her to develop her program\, When Love is Not Enough\, which is now used in homes\, treatment facilities and schools around the world. Her work is acclaimed for helping many types of emotional disorders\, including Reactive Attachment Disorder\, Early Childhood Trauma\, Asperger’s\, Oppositional Defiant Disorder\, ADHD\, PTSD and Bipolar Disorder. \nThis event takes place at the Business Expo Center at 1960 S Anaheim Way\, Anaheim\, CA 92805.
