Join our National Award-winning Speech and Debate Team!
The Cypress College Speech and Debate Team (Forensics) travels to colleges and universities in our region and nationally. We offer a wide variety of debate, public speaking and performance events.
- Improve your argumentation, critical thinking, research, and writing skills
- Improve your communication and speaking skills
- Improve your performance skills and use your creativity by competing in one of the interpretation events like Prose, Poetry, Dramatic Interpretation, and Interpreter’s Theater
- Be a part of a supportive, fun community where you have the potential to earn scholarships
- We are an open community where you can make lasting friendships, get individual help from our coaches, and learn to use your voice
- Enroll in COMM 138/238 where you will earn transferable units, and/or use those units toward a Communication Studies Certificate
Come to a Team Meeting! We meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:40–5:50 p.m. in Humanities 106.
