Scholarships
The Cypress College Foundation awards scholarships annually each spring. Current students are notified via email when the application period opens, typically in early to mid-March.
Students complete a single online scholarship application to be considered for all foundation scholarship opportunities. After submitting the initial application, additional scholarship opportunities may become available based on eligibility. These opportunities will have additional supplemental questions, essays, or other responses.
Eligibility
To be considered for scholarships, applicants must both have COMPLETED 9 units and be currently enrolled at Cypress College.
Scholarships are both need and merit based, and many will have other requirements, which may include minimum GPA, or an academic reference letter. Some scholarships do not have a GPA requirement.
Application Preparation
Applicants should be prepared to:
- Provide transcripts (can be unofficial)
- State information about campus involvement, community service, volunteer work, and other extracurricular activities.
- Write an essay regarding educational goals, personal experiences, and future plans.
- Be able to ask for a reference letter. Preferably a faculty member who could speak to your academic strengths and campus involvement.
Notification
Scholarship recipients will be notified in May through the email address on file with the college.
