myGateway Outage Likely to Extend to Month’s End
Maintenance work on the myGateway portal has progressed much more slowly than the IT staff in the North Orange County Community College District had hoped or anticipated — and it now looks like myGateway won’t be back in service until December 30.
Originally slated to be back online tonight, the work now looks like it will extend through December 29, when a new set of maintenance procedures across a number of systems will begin.
The mygatewaynocccd Twitter feed will be updated with changes to the status of the system, staff said late this afternoon.
Here is the timeline for the remaining system work:
- Sunday 12/29/2013 – Monday 12/30/2013 for server maintenance; all systems will be unavailable including myGateway, Banner, and Blackboard
- Saturday 1/4/2014 – Sunday 1/5/2014 for an Oracle upgrade; myGateway and Banner will be unavailable
These upgrades are critical to maintaining as well as improving the stability and performance of our systems for students and staff. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
We’ll add our apologies for the inconvenience as well. I know many of you are waiting on grades and excited to see them. Given the heavy demand on the system at the start of the semester, this is important work to complete.
