Fall 2023 Important Dates
These dates apply to scheduled classes meeting the full length of the semester.
| July 10, 2023 | Fall 2023 registration begins via myGateway |
| August 17, 2023 | Special Admit students register |
| August 21, 2023 | Fall 2023 Classes Begin |
| Prior to the first day of class | If the class is OPEN, an Add Authorization Code is not required. If the class is CLOSED, a Waitlist option may be offered. There is no guarantee of enrollment into any class. |
| Starting the first day of class | An Add Authorization Code required for most classes. (Refer to the How to Add/Drop a Class/Waitlist information in the Class Schedule.) |
| August 21, 2023 | Begin taking audit requests |
| September 4, 2023 | Labor Day — Campus Closed Last day to add classes Last day to drop classes to qualify for refunds Last day to drop classes WITHOUT a “W” Campus Safety begins issuing parking tickets for vehicles that have not been registered in the campus virtual parking system. |
| September 11, 2023 | Priority deadline to apply for fall 2023 graduation and fall 2023 vocational certificates |
| September 22, 2023 | Last day to file Pass/No Pass Grading Option forms Last day to apply for fall 2023 degrees and certificates |
| October 16, 2023 | Second eight-week classes begin |
| October 30, 2023 | First day to apply for spring 2024 graduation and vocational certificates |
| November 10, 2023 | Veteran’s Day — Campus Closed Last day to increase/decrease variable unit classes |
| November 12, 2023 | Last day to drop classes WITH a “W” |
| November 23-24, 2023 | Thanksgiving Holiday — Campus Closed (Saturday and Sunday classes will NOT meet) |
| December 9, 2023 | Fall 2023 semester ends |
| Year-round | Apply for CSU General Education/IGETC Certification |
