Fall 2024 Important Dates
These dates apply to scheduled classes meeting the full length of the semester.
| July 8, 2024 | First day to apply for fall 2024 graduation First day to apply for fall 2024 vocational certificates |
| July 9, 2024 | Fall 2024 registration begins in myGateway |
| August 19, 2024 | Special admit students register |
| August 26, 2024 | Fall 2024 classes begin Begin taking audit requests |
| Prior to the first day of class | If the class is OPEN, an Add Authorization Code is not required. If the class is CLOSED, a Waitlist option may be offered. There is no guarantee of enrollment into any class. |
| Starting the first day of class | An Add Authorization Code is required for most classes. |
| September 2, 2024 | Labor Day — Campus Closed |
| September 8, 2024 | Last day to add classes Last day to drop classes to qualify for refunds Last day to drop classes WITHOUT a “W” |
| September 9, 2024 | Campus Safety begins issuing parking tickets for vehicles that have not been registered in the campus virtual parking system. |
| September 13, 2024 | Priority deadline to apply for fall 2024 graduation and fall 2024 vocational certificates |
| September 27, 2024 | Last day to apply for fall 2024 degrees and certificates |
| October 21, 2024 | Second eight-week classes begin |
| November 4, 2024 | First day to apply for spring 2024 graduation and vocational certificates |
| November 11, 2024 | Veteran’s Day — Campus Closed |
| November 15, 2024 | Last day to increase/decrease variable unit classes |
| November 17, 2024 | Last day to drop classes WITH a “W” |
| November 28-29, 2024 | Thanksgiving Holiday — Campus Closed (Saturday and Sunday classes will NOT meet) |
| December 14, 2024 | Fall 2024 semester ends |
| Year-round | Apply for CSU General Education/IGETC Certification |
