These dates apply to scheduled classes meeting the full length of the semester.

July 8, 2024First day to apply for fall 2024 graduation

First day to apply for fall 2024 vocational certificates
July 9, 2024Fall 2024 registration begins in myGateway
August 19, 2024Special admit students register
August 26, 2024Fall 2024 classes begin

Begin taking audit requests
Prior to the first day of classIf the class is OPEN, an Add Authorization Code is not required. If the class is CLOSED, a Waitlist option may be offered. There is no guarantee of enrollment into any class.
Starting the first day of classAn Add Authorization Code is required for most classes.
September 2, 2024Labor Day — Campus Closed
September 8, 2024Last day to add classes

Last day to drop classes to qualify for refunds

Last day to drop classes WITHOUT a “W”
September 9, 2024Deadline to opt out of the Charger Book Pass
September 13, 2024Priority deadline to apply for fall 2024 graduation and fall 2024 vocational certificates
September 16, 2024Campus Safety begins issuing parking tickets for vehicles that have not been registered in the campus virtual parking system.
September 27, 2024Last day to apply for fall 2024 degrees and certificates
October 21, 2024Second eight-week classes begin
November 4, 2024First day to apply for spring 2025 graduation and vocational certificates
November 11, 2024Veteran’s Day — Campus Closed
November 15, 2024Last day to increase/decrease variable unit classes
November 17, 2024Last day to drop classes WITH a “W”
November 28-29, 2024Thanksgiving Holiday — Campus Closed (Saturday and Sunday classes will NOT meet)
December 14, 2024Fall 2024 semester ends

Last day to file a pass/no pass option (for 16-week classes)
Last Day of Late-Start ClassesLast day to file a pass/no pass option (for late-start classes)
