Mental Health & Wellness Summit

Cypress College, Fullerton College, and North Orange Continuing Education together with the North Orange County Community College District present our first Mental Health & Wellness Summit on October 29 at the Cypress College Theater.

Attend the summit to recharge with connection, collaboration, and interactive sessions addressing mental health concerns and providing healthy coping strategies for students, while offering support strategies for employees. Food and giveaways provided to attendees!

When: October 29 @ 8 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Where: Cypress College Campus

Coffee Shop Now Open!

You can finally stay on campus and get your caffeine fix — the Cypress College coffee shop is open! Stop by during operating hours for hot and cold coffee drinks such as cafe latte, iced coffee, caramel macchiato, Vietnamese cá phê, Spanish latte, hot chocolate, and more.

The coffee shop is located next to the Bookstore. Card only, no cash. Current operating hours are:

Monday – Thursday: 7 a.m.–5 p.m.
Friday – Sunday: 7 a.m.–2 p.m.

“Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812”

Combine Tolstoy’s “War and Peace” with electropop and you get “Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet.” Join Cypress College’s Theatre Department for this musical about Natasha Rostova’s trip to Moscow to await the return of her fiancé.

When: October 11 – 12 @ 7 p.m., October 13 @ 4 p.m.

Fall Photography Exhibitions

Cypress’ Photography Department is now displaying Ed Heckerman’s solo exhibition Recent Offerings. This photo collection spans seven years of artistic exploration, showcasing eight of Heckerman’s series: Broken Rice Cosmos, Sokkan Another Present Era, The Local Elsewhere, Pinhole Pleasures, Glimmer, Memorial Kites, and Walkstreets Panoramas.

The Cypress Photo Club presents two all-cyanotype process shows: Tru Blue by board members, and Mi Mundo Azul by Maria Calixto Martinez.

A camera lens focuses on the Cypress College campanile.

Multidisciplinary Conference Abstracts Due

The Honors Program and the Psychology Department invite students to submit abstracts for poster, paper, or oral presentations.

The conference is designed to provide students from various academic disciplines the opportunity to present their research or creative work. All are welcome to attend, enjoy light refreshments, and celebrate our students’ work.
