MAD Work Lights Up Holidays

The Media Arts Design Department this month presents work as part of the show “Be The Light,” a downtown Long Beach art illumination project running now until the end of the year. MAD students and faculty have teamed up with Long Beach’s Loiter Galleries for the holiday season projection mapping exhibit.

The work illuminates a storefront at 375 Promenade from 4:30 p.m. to midnight each evening with a piece called “The Parade.” This work is a collaboration between The Fox, The Folks, a projection design and 2D animation studio in Indonesia, and MAD students and professor Kati Angelov.

An opening night event November 30 featured live music, face painting, free popcorn, and more.
