Transfer Center Workshops
The Transfer Center will host several workshops this semester. All on-campus workshops will be held in the Transfer Center on the second floor of the Student Center, and walk-ins are welcome. Online workshops will be held over Zoom. Click here to register. Financial Aid and Scholarship Workshops
Students: Get funding for school through financial aid and scholarships. These upcoming sessions will help you apply for either, the first from Financial Aid and the second from Peer Tutors, fellow students who support English 1000s, 1000Es, and ESL 110s with class content and overall student success skills. Get the most out of your college experience and prepare for your next steps. The next College 101 workshop, College Resources, takes place this week in the Language Exchange Space (be sure to bring your laptop). The Cypress Education Program wants aspiring teachers to have the best tools to pursue their goals, and is hosting CSULB and CSUF reps to share information on becoming teachers.

Spring Theatre Premiere: SpongeBob Musical
The Cypress College Theatre Department will stage a production of The SpongeBob Musical starting this month.
Based on the Nickelodeon series, the musical follows SpongeBob SquarePants’ attempts to avert a volcanic eruption in his underwater home of Bikini Bottom. Everyone is welcome at this fun show, and Cypress College employees can purchase tickets for a discount. Visit the box office link and use code CCEMPLOYEE for a $5 discount on tickets. Student pricing is $10 off general ticketing price.

Library Author Talks
Attend a virtual reading via the Cypress College Library during two upcoming Library Author Talks. First, listen to Humor, Heart, and Reflective Rural Stories with Michael Perry. Next week, tune in for Book Portals and Journeys of Literary Magic with Kate Quinn. See more in the series here.

ChAT Training
The Charger Assessment Team (ChAT) will host one comprehensive training this semester. This training is designed for all employees. Join to learn about ChAT, what it is, what it does, its mission, how to refer students of concern, strategies to help students in distress, and how it supports you.

Planetarium Show
Students, employees, and guests can watch the Planetarium show “Birth of Planet Earth,” which examines how Earth became a living planet following the solar system’s early formation, and the potential of finding other Earth-like worlds. Note: The show begins on time, no late entries; doors open 15 minutes before show; no reentries after exiting; all attendees must be over 5 years old. Price: $12 general admission; $6 for NOCCCD employees and students, children, and seniors. Get tickets here.
