Career Edge: Practical Critical Thinking & Problem Solving

During the final session of the series, learn the value of building critical thinking skills; how to apply these skills to individual and organizational situations and scenarios; explore ethics and core values associated with decision-making; gain confidence in tackling problems, developing alternatives, and assessing solutions and risk; improve your decision-making capacity.

Instructor: Cathleen Greiner, Ph.D., is the regional director for Employer Engagement, Business and Entrepreneurship, Orange County, at California Community College Chancellor’s Office. She has a proven career in higher education as a teacher, dean, and vice president, engaging critical community and educational partners and building bridges between business employers and education. A faculty member for the Western Association of College and University Business Officers, she facilitated a proof of concept workshop series combining business, demographic sectors, and employability: “Cybersecurity, Veterans and Women Returning to the Workplace + Employability Skills,” and is part of the team that developed Career Edge with the Greater Irvine Chamber. Dr. Greiner holds a B.S. in economics, M.S. in educational policy and management, M.A. in philosophical and systematic theology, and a Ph.D. in higher education policy and administration.
