Lavender Graduation 2026

A purple event flyer titled "Lavender Graduation" for Class of 2026 at Cypress College. It invites LGBTQ+ students and allies to celebrate on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cypress College Pond. The flyer includes Cypress College and Pride logos, with additional details for a "Queer Prom" from 7 to 10 p.m. A QR code is included for RSVPs.

Lavender Graduation is a special graduation ceremony for LGBTQ+ graduates to be celebrated as their whole selves and those with whom they choose to celebrate. We will honor and acknowledge their achievements, contributions, and unique experiences at Cypress College.

The ceremony and prom will take place on campus and will include dinner for graduates and guests, photobooths, music, dancing, and other activities. LGBTQ+ graduates will be awarded a Lavender Graduation certificate and rainbow stole. Current and former graduates will be able to invite their “chosen family” as well as a Cypress employee who has supported them on their educational journey. There will also be a group photo with all of the graduates.

If you identify as LGBTQ+, or you’ve actively advocated for LGBTQ+ students on our campus, we’d love for you to join us! Please RSVP here by Monday, May 25 to attend.
