The Career Planning Center is hosting “More Than A Pathway, Connecting Careers to Social Justice Series and Career Fair” on April 4-6. This is the launch of our ongoing careers and social justice sessions that will occur throughout each semester. This year, two of the events will be on campus: the keynote speaker, Martin Leyva, and the Career Fair.

Keynote
Monday, April 4 @ 10 a.m. – HUM-131 Lecture Hall
Martin Leyva, Program Coordinator – Project Rebound CSU San Marcos
Martin Leyva is the Project Rebound program coordinator, as well as sociology lecturer on CSU San Marcos’ campus. In addition, he is currently a doctoral student of education. Martin founded the award-winning Santa Barbara City College Transitions Program, which provides supports for students affected by the criminal justice system. He has also authored multiple scholarly articles, including From Corrections to College: The Value of a Convict’s Voice, and California Placaso, The social construction of Chicanx gang graffiti.
