NOCCCD RISE Program Youth Week

All this week, we will be celebrating our amazing district youth who have been impacted by, or experienced, the system of youth incarceration.

This is the newly established, NOCCCD’s RISE Program inaugural event, and we hope that you will consider attending at least some of the amazing sessions we have planned! We have invited some amazing folks to join us and speak at this event and we would love for you all to show up and show your love and support for our amazing youth!

Monday, October 21
8 – 10 a.m.: Opening Day Breakfast – Los Volcanes (CCCPLX-414)
10 – 11:15 a.m.: Keynote Speaker: Chris Hernandez (CCCPLX-414)
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.: DJ Robert Ornales & Guac ‘N Roll Food Truck (CC Campus: Gateway Plaza, near campanile)
2 – 3:30 p.m.: ACES Trauma Workshop with Dr. Erin Sherard (CC Campus: Bldg. 18: Room 118) 18 years and older, only

Tuesday, October 22

12 – 1:30 p.m.: Training for NOCCCD faculty/staff/admin for supporting youth who’ve experienced incarceration (with Ric Vidal & Deanna Cherry) Location: CC Campus – CCCPLX 3rd Floor Patio
