Samanta de Frutos García, B.A., M.A., Ph.D.

Samanta de Frutos García is an Assistant Professor of Spanish in the Foreign Language department at Cypress College.  

Professor De Frutos García holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Languages and Literatures with an emphasis in Applied Linguistics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She also received an M.A. in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language from the University of Salamanca and a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Valencia. Prior to teaching at Cypress College, she taught Spanish courses at various colleges and universities in the Unites States, China, and Spain.  

In addition to teaching Spanish courses at Cypress College, Dr. De Frutos García also serves as co-advisor for the Spanish Club. The mission of the club is to provide a friendly environment where students of all levels can practice and improve their Spanish fluency, learn about Hispanic culture, and connect with other members of the student body at Cypress College.
