Timely Warning: Three Students Report Being Forcibly Kissed, Groped

The suspect referenced in Cypress College’s September 20, 2024 Timely Warning is currently in custody after being arrested by members of the Cypress Police Department on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
Following his arrest, the suspect was taken to Orange County Jail, where he remains pending trial.
Cypress College thanks members of our community who provided information to the Campus Safety Office following release of the Timely Warning. Campus Safety worked closely alongside the Cypress Police Department to gather enough evidence to obtain an arrest warrant and a search warrant.
The coordination between Cypress College Campus Safety and the Cypress Police Department, aided strongly by information from witnesses and the victims, helped bring about the successful investigative resolution.

On the late afternoon of Thursday, September 19, 2024, three female students reported separate incidents in which they were forcibly kissed and groped against their will while on campus. The suspect is unidentified with unknown whereabouts.
The suspect (photograph below) was described as a male in his mid 30s with black hair, brown eyes, visible tattoos on his neck. He was wearing a grey sweatshirt and hat. He also was carrying a blue Stanley-style water bottle and a clipboard. The suspect was last seen on video near the pond.
At this time, Cypress College Campus Safety is working with the Cypress Police Department to review evidence along with victim and witness information. They are also seeking any additional information.
The first incident took place at approximately 1:45 p.m. near the Library/Learning Resource Center. The second incident took place near Technical Education 3 at approximately 3 p.m. The final incident was reported near the VRC/pond at about 3:30 p.m.

Students and employees are reminded to report incidents or suspicious behavior to Campus Safety and/or Cypress Police immediately.
