About Professor Plett

I have been teaching Math at Cypress College, since August 1985. I have enjoyed every class I have taught, and I look forward to each new semester.

Recommended Course

MATH 150B C Calculus II

This course is a continuation of Calculus I – Math 150A C, which includes the study of applications of integration, techniques of integration, indeterminate forms, L’Hopital’s rule, improper integrals, infinite sequences and series, power series, Taylor and Maclaurin series, conic sections, plane curves, parametric equations, and polar coordinates.

Classes

MATH 20 C

Course Description

This course is an introduction to Algebra, including the basic operations of real numbers, polynomials, rational expressions, radical expressions, factoring, solutions of linear and quadratic equations, and graphing of linear systems.

Prerequisite

Math 15 or Pre-algebra, with a grade of “C” or better.

MATH 150B C

Course Description

This course is a continuation of Calculus I – Math 150A C, which includes the study of applications of integration, techniques of integration, indeterminate forms, L’Hopital’s rule, improper integrals, infinite sequences and series, power series, Taylor and Maclaurin series, conic sections, plane curves, parametric equations, and polar coordinates.

Prerequisite

Math 150A or Calculus I, with a grade of “C” or better.

MATH 250A C

Course Description

This is an intermediate course in mathematical analysis. It includes the study of three-dimensional analytic geometry, calculus of functions of several variables, vector calculus, multiple integration, vector fields and theorems, with associated problem applications.

Prerequisite

Math 150B or Calculus II, with a grade of “C” or better.

MATH 250B C

Course Description

This course is an introduction to linear algebra and ordinary differential equations.

Prerequisite

Math 250A or Multivariable Calculus, with a grade of “C” or better.
