About Professor Nusbaum

I am a graduate of UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics/economics and a masters degree in education. I earned a master’s degree in mathematics from UCI in 1999.

After teaching for a one year temporary assignment at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, I was hired at Cypress College in 2000 and have taught full-time here ever since. Currently I teach Math 150B and Math 120, but in the Fall 2014 I will teach Math 150B and Math 20.

My hobbies include playing sports, inventing board games and card games, and fantasy football.

Recommended Course

Math 150BC Calculus 2

If you like Math, you will love this course!  We will use a great deal of the mathematics that you have previous learned in order to unlock a whole new world of mathematical topics and concepts.  There will be something for everyone, from a variety of Physics applications for future scientists, to a whole chapter on the abstract idea of infinite series that Math majors will undoubtedly enjoy. Throughout it all, I will strive to provide a genuine conceptual understanding of every formula and theorem that we cover.
