About Professor Hill

Hi everyone,

I’m Garet Hill, and I am excited to have you with me this semester. I am from Chino, California and went to Biola University for my undergraduate studies. At Biola, I played baseball and studied mathematics. I was fortunate to be drafted by the Dodgers and the Phillies and signed with the Phillies after my senior year at Biola.

After playing minor-league baseball for a few years, I attained my master’s degree at CSU Fullerton and taught at Orange Lutheran High School as well as Santiago CC and Golden West College. I am currently a full-time faculty member at Cypress College, teaching Statistics and Trigonometry.

Thank you again for joining me this semester, and I hope you enjoy our class!

Recommended Course

My recommended course is our Math 120 class, Introduction to Probability and Statistics. While the class is quite challenging, I think it is one of the MOST INTERESTING math classes available. It will challenge your critical thinking while giving you endless amounts of real-life applications…and it’s my favorite class to teach!
