About Professor Aguilera
Hello! I joined the Cypress College faculty as an adjunct instructor in the spring of 2013. I teach both sociology and human services courses. I can attest to the value of a California community college education. I started out as a transfer student at Los Angeles Harbor College where I earned my Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. I transferred to California State University Dominguez Hills and majored in psychology and sociology, completing a double Bachelor of Arts degree. I continued my time at Dominguez Hills and got my Master of Arts in Sociology focusing on social psychology and everyday interactions. I am still at California State University Dominguez Hills, but now I get to teach sociology majors. I truly enjoy my field, and am happy to share my experiences with students of any major. I started working for the California Community Colleges in 1994, and I am happy to help, so let me know if you need anything.
This course analyzes human societies and relationships through a study of cultural origins, personality development, social interaction, and social change.
