The Cypress College Transfer Center has announced workshops for this month. The first is the “Common Application Workshop,” which takes place on February 11. “For Future Teachers Only” and “Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) Workshop” will also be held this month.
The “Common Application Workshop” provides Cypress College students with information about completing applications for private universities. The workshop will be held in the Transfer Center on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, from 2-3 p.m. Seating is limited.
“For Future Teachers Only! Cal State Fullerton Teaching” is for students seeking a career in K-12 teaching. The first of four spring 2014 advisor appointments are available on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., in the Transfer Center. The session will be repeated at various times on March 13, April 9, and May 1.
Finally, the “Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) Workshop” is designed for students to learn more about the transfer degrees. The Associate Degree for Transfer provides students priority admission to a California State University campus with junior standing once they complete an Associate in Arts Degree for Transfer (AA-T) or an Associate in Science Degree for Transfer (AS-T) at a California community college. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, from 10-11 a.m., in the Transfer Center. It will be repeated on Thursday, April 10, from 1-2 p.m.
Students may sign up 30 days in advance for any of these free workshop sessions. The Cypress College Transfer Center is located on the second floor of the Student Center Building. It is open Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and Friday, from 8 a.m.-noon. The office can be reached at (714) 484-7129.
