Spring 2025 FREE New Student ID Card & Charger Food Pass Info
The Charger Food Pass is getting easier!
Cypress College is rolling out a new and improved student ID card. You MUST have this new ID card to use the Charger Food Pass, to check in at the L/LRC, and to take advantage of other important campus services. ID cards received prior to January 2025 will no longer work.
Starting January 27, please visit Admissions and Records on the 1st floor of the Student Center to receive your FREE new student ID card. Student ID services are available in-person only. Please bring a valid (unexpired) government-issued photo ID to receive your new ID card.
In anticipation of heavy foot traffic and long lines during the first two weeks of the semester (starting February 3) we encourage a stop at Admissions and Records January 27-31 to receive your FREE new ID card.
Admissions and Records Hours of Operation
In-Person & Remote | January 27-February 13
Monday-Friday @ 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Tuesday-Thursday @ 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Charger Food Pass Details
The Charger Food Pass will provide all spring-enrolled students with $12 to purchase meals, drinks, and snacks at the Charger Cafe Monday-Friday during the semester (excluding holidays when campus is closed on January 29, February 14 & 17, March 31-April 4, and May 26).
How Does it Work? It’s simple!
1. Pick up your FREE new student ID card at Admissions and Records on the 1st floor of the Student Center. This card is required to use the Charger Food Pass, as well as access services at the Library/Learning Resource Center.
Keep your card safe! A $12 credit will be automatically loaded each day.*
*Note: The value of this card will be automatically set each evening to $12 for the following weekday. Whether each day’s $12 is used or not, the total value on the card will NOT exceed $12.
2. Once you have your card in hand, use it to purchase up to $12 in meals, drinks, and snacks at the Charger Cafe.
The $12 may be spent however you wish at the Charger Café. If spending more than $12 at the Charger Café in a single day, you will need to pay the difference with cash or credit card.
