John Lewis Young Leaders Program
The John Lewis Young Leaders Program is open for enrollment. This year-long fellowship prepares college students for a future in community organizing and civic engagement. Fellows choose a capstone project and engage their campus and local communities in human rights work; they receive a $2,000 professional stipend and $1,000 in funding activities related to their capstone projects, attend a paid-for in-person summer retreat, gain valuable training on community organizing, and get access to a network of experts, activists, and other resources.
Who’s eligible?
• Undergraduate students with an expected graduation date of or after May 2026
• Must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year accredited program at a university or college in the United States
Apply to the John Lewis Young Leaders Program.
Access Your Student Email & Microsoft 365 Apps
Did you know you have a Cypress College student email address that also provides access to Microsoft 365 products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint? No? Well, now you do!
But how to access it, you ask? Just follow these steps:
- Log in to myGateway.
- Click on “CC Email” in the left-hand navigation under Shortcuts.
- On the Microsoft 365 log-in screen, enter your username and password.
- Username: your student ID and “@cypresscollege.edu” (e.g. 01234567@cypresscollege.edu)
- Password: Your myGateway password.
- If you have already set up 2FA (two-factor authentication), follow the prompts. If you have not set up 2FA, you have a couple of options:
- Download and use the Microsoft Authenticator app.
- Provide your phone # to have 2FA codes messaged to you.
- Once you have completed 2FA and you are logged in, access your email inbox by clicking on “Outlook” in the lefthand navigation, or click the nine dots in the upper lefthand corner to open a panel showing all the applications you now have access to.
- Now you’re in the know and can use these tools to help you succeed!
Please note: Emails you receive from the college are sent to the email address designated “Preferred” in your student account. To update your preferred email, log in to myGateway, click on “WebStar” in the left-hand navigation (at the bottom of Shortcuts), click on “Personal Information,” then “Update E-mail Address(es).”
