Connect2Cypress & Majors2Careers Tomorrow

Connect2Cypress featuring Majors2Careers, on Tuesday, October 21, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., expects more than 1,000 local high schools seniors and current Cypress College students. Connect with faculty and staff from academic pathways, learn about resources from the Student Services Resource Fair, and participate in career activities in the Majors2Careers (M2C) Showcase. Complete the M2C evaluation will for a free Habit Burger lunch ticket. Attendance verification available.

APIDA Events: Filipino-American History Month

October is Filipino-American History Month, and the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Resource Center is hosting events to honor it. The following take place in the APIDA center, HUM-123, unless noted. 

  • Filipino Halloween Party and Tagalog Learning 
    When: Tuesday, October 21, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
  • Potluck for Filipino Heritage and Diwali
    When: Wednesday, October 22, 3 – 5:30 p.m.
  • Filipino Club Flag Parade by Pond
    When: Tuesday, October 28, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

Spooktacular Winter Wellness: “Treat Yourself to Health”

The Student Health & Wellness Center and the Classified Senate invites the campus and surrounding community to the Spooktacular Winter Wellness: “Treat Yourself to Health” event. Enjoy free flu shots, treat bags, flu and cold supplies, and a variety of health and wellness activities provided by several campus departments,  including services from a registered dietician, along with Halloween-themed activities, refreshments, raffles, games, and more.

  • When: Wednesday, October 29, 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Pups N’ Pints

Join the Cypress College Foundation on campus for Pups N’ Pints. This free event is open to Cypress College alumni, retirees, and community members. Enjoy beer on tap, food trucks, pet portraits, and live music. Bring your pup in costume to compete in the Halloween Costume Contest!

Haunted Open House

Stop by to pick up treats and learn about the Career Planning and Workforce Development Center at its Haunted Open House. Visit the Career Closet for your free professional outfit on Tuesday, October 28, 1 p.m., and Wednesday October 29, 5 p.m.

Transfer/Pregraduation Fair

The T/PG fair educates students about transfer options and career preparation. College and university reps will discuss admissions requirements, and Cypress College’s Division of Student Services reps will share information on services students need to succeed after transfer.

From Here to There: Karen Emmet Exhibition

New exhibition From Here to There represents photographic and mixed media work from 1999-present. These artworks document the unspectacular, the overlooked, search for identity, and transformation and help define similarities or differences.

Art of the Haitian Global South, 2025

Haitian Revolution: Art of the Haiti Global South, 2025, showcases the talent of the Haitian Diaspora, as well as aspects of Haitian history and spirituality. Images of Haiti’s independence ancestors hang alongside Haitian Realist works depicting life in Haiti, and Magic Realist visions of people living their everyday lives on the island nation surrounded by unpolluted waters, peace, and plenty.

Haitian Revolution: Art of the Haiti Global South, 2025, is part of the 8th SUR:BIENNIAL, a presentation of works by local and international artists influenced by the artistic traditions of Mexico, Central & South America, and the Caribbean.
