Thanksgiving Week: Classes Monday-Wednesday, Campus Closed Thursday and Friday
Thanksgiving is on November 27. The campus will be closed on Thursday and Friday. Classes and services are in session Monday through Wednesday.

Associated Students Thanksgiving Food Drive Final Day Tuesday
Associated Students is holding its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to fill baskets for selected students in need. AS hopes to provide 30 baskets along with a grocery gift card to purchase a turkey or alternative. While grocery shopping, consider grabbing a few items for this great cause. Donate individually or as a group effort. Through November 18, drop off items at Student Life and Leadership or ask for item pick-up at x47198 or studentlife@cypresscollege.edu.
Affinity Group Sock Drive
Affinity APIDA, the Legacy Program, the Puente Program, and Rising Scholars are collecting for a sock drive. Until the end of the month, drop off new socks with tags at any collection bin on campus, so that people in need can have one of the most-requested items during a difficult time.
AI Coffee Hour
The AI Taskforce along with Professional Development present an open lab to try AI tools, ask questions, and collaborate — no formal session, just hands-on time. Laptops provided. Coffee, tea, and cookies will be served.

Supporting Student Engagement with AI
Faculty interested supporting student engagement through AI can learn to introduce students to responsible use and see examples of AI-infused class activities and assignments. English professor Stephanie Tran presents this session as an opportunity to explore ethical AI use in the classroom while addressing concerns about cognitive off-loading.

Building Healthy Masculinity
Rising Scholars presents Keepin’ Up The Good Fight; You vs. Pressure: Finding Ways to Finish Strong. The group invites you to join them for their second men’s meeting, which will focus on ways to combat pressure. Food provided! RSVP to save your spot.

New Date! Illuminated Visions
The Media Arts Department brings its projection mapping creations to campus for the third time. Illuminated Vision is a free, international light-show, presenting work from digital artists around the world.

Planetarium Show
Employees can preview the Planetarium show “Dark Universe,” which investigates the 95% of the universe made up of dark matter. Note: The show begins on time, no late entries; doors open 15 minutes before show; no reentries after exiting; all attendees must be over 5 years old. Price: $3.50
