Finals Fuel

Student Support Services and the LRC will host Finals Fuels for students. This year, it will take place the week after Thanksgiving break starting December 1 through December 10 by offering extended hours in the LRC from 6 p.m. to midnight. A librarian and a Student Support Services manager will staff the L/LRC every night including the weekend shifts. Come for the food, stay for a quiet place to study.

When: December 1 – 10, 6 p.m. – midnight

De-Stress Week

Active Minds and the Student Health & Wellness Center Present: De-Stress Week December 1- 3, Monday through Wednesday. On day one, pause your studying to play with puppies and enjoy a slice of pizza. Taking mindful breaks helps prevent burnout and boosts productivity! For day two, take a deep breath in … and out. Come make aromatherapy rice bags and sprays using a variety of essential oils to help relax and reinvigorate yourself. Finally, play corn hole, ping pong, giant Jenga, and more. Playing games promotes social connection and physical activity, both of which boost the happy-hormone serotonin.

When: December 1: Relax With Paws & Pizza, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
           December 2: Create De-Stress Kits, 1:30 – 3 p.m.
           December 3: Score Some Serotonin! 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

AS Giving Tree

Associated Students has organized a Giving Tree. Bring joy and relief to the children of student parents by gifting them something special this holiday season. Here is how:

1. Visit Student Life and Leadership

2. Grab a gift request card and fill out a form.

3. Purchase the gifts.

4. Return them by December 19. 


Japanese Culture and Movie Night: Belle

The next Japanese Culture and Movie Night features “Belle.” Japanese food, pizza, and delicious treats provided. Cosplay welcome! Come in your favorite costume. Bring your art to display and share in the Student art and gallery area.

Women in Power Spaces

NOCCCD is planning a second Women in Power Spaces event, and students, faculty, and staff are invited to join in the process. The WiPS Initiative aims to promote the advancement of gender equity through education, research, advocacy, and leadership development.
